Please comment in the feedback page or email me at elliecookiesw@gmail.com what you would like to see next, I'm running out of ideas! I'm thinking about videos, but I don't know what content they should have. Maybe how to prepare some of my favourite (healthy) meals? Or a video of going for a run or something? Please please please feedback, it will help me so much as I am new to making blogs and I would really like some new ideas. Thank you so much!

Wieght checks

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2905921/Regular-weight-checks-compulsory-halt-skyrocketing-levels-obesity-say-experts.html

Firstly, I've worked out how to include a link yay!To celebrate please click the link and it should take you to the daily mail website with an article about regular weight checks should be compulsory. Comment opinions? I think it's a matter of opinion but weight can differ according to height, muscle and other things so I don't think these tests should be based purely on weight - anyway what do viewers think? Also open for opinions on my blog and how to improve it please!

McDonalds

So yesterday I went to a party and for lunch everybody wanted McDonalds (except me). Not wanting to spoil the fun, I agreed to eat there too. I only ordered chips because there isn't much you can really put in chips and at least you know they are real potato - although I have to say, they were literally DRIPPING with fat and oil. If you put one down on the paper bag for even a second it left a mark - eurgh!!! I didn't really have much choice so I ate them and now I'm thinking - all that fat and oil and salt is in my system, what can I do about it? As said in my last post, it would take a lot of exercise to "burn it off" and it wouldn't be practical, and you can't cancel out bad food by just eating salad for a day or something - that's ridiculous! So today I will just try to go back to my normal eating routine, seeing as today I dance anyway - not enough to completely erase the amount I've eaten obviously, but still. I don't think one meal will have made too much of a difference as long as I don't make a habit of it.

Wii Fit

Wii Fit is really fun, I've been using it more frequently recently and thinking about it, I don't know why I didn't use it very much before! I mean you can jog and watch TV at the same time (!?!?!?!) and all the games tell you how much they burn if you want to keep track. Saying that, however, I don't think that "burn" is a very useful term when you are trying to lose wieght or control weight, because it gives the impression that you can undo or make up for a bad diet, and that's not really how it works. Yes, if you exercise a lot you can usually get away with eating a little bit more than others, but you can't just eat, say, a whole pizza and then "burn it off". Anyway what I was saying is that I've been using Wii Fit and it's really good - not advertising, just recommending!

An example of one of the most ridiculous diets. How can a person expect to lose 5lb in 5 days and then stay that weight? The point of a diet is that it is continuous, a lifestyle rather than a quick fix.

Daily Mail article

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2845335/If-picture-perfect-women-blamed-self-hate-eating-disorders-isn-t-one.html

I found this article on the Daily Mail and I think it makes a very good point. If it's outrageous for men to criticize women on their size, why should women do this to men? The article explains about how an advert for underwear has caused a massive scandal because it used the title "the perfect body" and the models were not overwieght. Granted, they weren't exactly average but still not, in my opinion, enough to make a fuss about. The article points out that if this is such a big deal, why has no one ever questioned the effects that male models have on other men, why is it never considered that male models and their toned bodies could also cause confidence issues, eating disorders and/or self-hate? Please read the article, it's actually quite interesting, it's not a rant.
